Description
The South Haven Light is a pierhead lighthouse at the entrance to the Black River on the southeastern shore of Lake Michigan. It was originally lit in 1872 and it remains operational today.
In this photo of a wave splashing over the pier, by Bill Swartwout Photography, the light structure is reflected in the water splashed onto the pier by wind-driven waves of Lake Michigan.
