Artist's Description
The beach in January, or after a storm, often has patches of pebbles showing through the normally sandy beach. So we'll just call this Pebble Beach at Fenwick Island, Delaware.
This low-level view was shot in ray of a late afternoon sun with an Olympus MFT camera in an Underwater Housing (to protect it from the sand and salt). This portion of the Atlantic Beach at Fenwick Island State Park was deserted on a beautiful, but cold, January day.
If you love the beach doesn't this make you want to be here? You can order a print of this scene so you can enjoy the beach all year. Where would you hang it?
About Bill Swartwout
"For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move." Robert Louis Stevenson... My photography reflects such wanderlust. I have had my work published for more than half a century, starting as a junior reporter for a local newspaper in 1964. I have been involved with industrial photography, wedding photography and real estate photography but my love has always been landscape and seascape photography. Today I concentrate strictly on photography as art. Purchase one of my pieces to...
