Artist's Description
In this black and white presentation of the Charles W. Cullen Bridge over the Indian River Inlet in coastal Delaware we see the northbound approach. The suspended portion of this cable-stayed bridge is one half mile long and provides smooth access for traffic north and south along the coastal highway on Route 1, connecting the towns of Bethany Beach and Dewey Beach - and points farther south and north. It is a central architectural feature at the Delaware Seashore State Park, which attracts visitors, beach-goers and vacationers by the thousands.
About Bill Swartwout
"For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move." Robert Louis Stevenson... My photography reflects such wanderlust. I have had my work published for more than half a century, starting as a junior reporter for a local newspaper in 1964. I have been involved with industrial photography, wedding photography and real estate photography but my love has always been landscape and seascape photography. Today I concentrate strictly on photography as art. Purchase one of my pieces to...
