Artist's Description
Photographed from a small hill overlooking the CSX Riverside Yard in Baltimore, Maryland, this lineup of locomotives await their next assignment. Whether switching cars to make up a train, or actually pulling that train to its destination, there powerful engines will get the job done.
The locomotive lineup consists of CSX 9029, a General Motors Electro-Motive Division CW40-9 (called a Dash 9); CSX 8727, an EMD SD60I with about 3,800 HP, and two smaller units, one being CSX 4215, an EMD GP30 with about 2,250 horsepower "under the hood." All decked out in CSX Transportation (CSXT) Gold and Blue (Yellow and Blue?), only the lead loco has its engine in at idle power - waiting for that call.
Whether you are a railfan or just have an appreciation of powerful machines, wouldn't you like a photo of these locomotives-in-a-row to display in your home or office? Where would you display it?

"For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move." Robert Louis Stevenson... My photography reflects such wanderlust. I have had my work published for more than half a century, starting as a junior reporter for a local newspaper in 1964. I have been involved with industrial photography, wedding photography and real estate photography but my love has always been landscape and seascape photography. Today I concentrate strictly on photography as art. Purchase one of my pieces to...
