One of the newer locomotives in the CSX fleet is CSX 5292, a General Electric "Evolution Series" - a model that began production in 2005.

These "environmentally friendly" engines produce about 4,000 horsepower and are among the most efficient engines on rails today. This engine was on a solo run to "somewhere" west of the Riverside Yard in South Baltimore, Maryland.

Because I create art photography the color in this photograph has been enhanced a bit in the afternoon sun. If you would like a print or a canvas of this locomotive for you home or office, where do you think you would hang it?
