Description
These crepuscular rays of the sun appear to reach up to Heaven in a digitally enhanced view of this sunset near Roxanna, DE. This was actually photographed over the tree in farm country just west of the small village of Williamsville in southern Delaware's Sussex County, not far from the beach and Ocean City, MD.
Crepuscular Rays, commonly called sun rays, sun's rays or sunbeams, are bands of sunlight streaming through gaps in clouds. They appear as parallel columns of sunlit air separated by darker cloud-shadowed regions of the sky and may appear going up, down or radiating about a central point.
The blue and orange of this evening sky would serve well to enhance similar - or complimentary colors - in a room at home or in an office setting. Where would you prefer to display this photograph? Do you think it would look best matted and framed or simply printed on artist's canvas in a gallery wrap?
