Description
On the very north tip of the Dutch island-nation of Aruba is the California Lighthouse. This aid to navigation for mariners was built in 1916 and was named for the steamship California that was wrecked near here in 1891.
This Light is at Hudishibana 2, Noord, Aruba and is built out of stone to withstand extreme weather and last for more than a century. The architectural structure, itself, stands 98' tall and the focal height (height of the light above sea level) is 180 feet.
