Description
This apparently "hungry" wave chews its way onto the beach at Fenwick Island State Park in southern Delaware, just north of Ocean City, Maryland, The Atlantic Ocean and the coastal beaches are in a constant battle for survival and this wave seems to have the mouth parts just about figured out.
Beach-goers are often taught about rip currents and about sharks to help keep them safe (and in one piece). But maybe with waves like this, seeming to have a mouth ready to take a bite out of the beach, the folks on the sand need to watch out for more. The warning "Don't Feed the Wildlife" in state parks may need to be "Don't Feed the Waves" at the beach.
If you, like many of us, love the beach, you may want to order a photograph like this to decorate a wall in your home or office. In which room would you display this piece to remind you of the beach all year 'round?
