The Shack is one of those unique little restaurants that you only fine once in a great while, We found this kitschy and adorable place during a road trip from the Northeast to the Gulf Coast. It just happened to be located at an interchange along I-65 where we decided to stop for the night. At first glance, it appeared to be a run-down antique shop with signage, trinkets and decor one might expect to see hanging on the wall of your average Cracker Barrel Restaurant. But that's where the illusion stops.
The food in this place was Southern BBQ inspired and it was awesome. There is not much else to say except that ding here, if you like great BBQ - pulled pork, beef brisket and so on - is what you really want to have. The folks are wonderful and the place is fun. But, in addition to that, it makes a wonderful piece of art for wall decor. What do you think?
