Artist's Description
The lighthouse and the traffic circle in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, are all decked out for the holiday season. In fact, the entirety of downtown Rehoboth Beach is beautifully decorated at this time of year. This image was photographed at time of the setting of the sun but looking toward the east - against a dark and cloudy sky. Often the best views at sunset are opposite the sun, as was the case on this particular evening.
Traffic circles can be a pain to circumnavigate in heavy traffic, but the holiday lighting makes this one a joy once the sun goes down. If you've been to Rehoboth and remember the lighthouse - wouldn't you like a print of this scene for your very own? Where would you display it?
About Bill Swartwout
"For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move." Robert Louis Stevenson... My photography reflects such wanderlust. I record images of places to which I wander and distractions along the way. I love to share my joy of living at the beach and our travels afar, bringing you photographic art that reflects what I see. I have had my work published for more than half a century, starting as a junior reporter for a local newspaper in 1964. I have been involved with industrial photography, wedding photography and real estate photography but my love has always been landscape and seascape photography. Today I concentrate strictly on photography as art. Purchase one of my pieces to...
