Artist's Description
The Portland Head Light is a 200+ year old lighthouse that is still in service on the rocky coast of Maine. This black and white photograph was taken in the evening mist with the sun coming from behind the tower. One errant wave is seen crashing on the quartzite and dark grey phyllite rocks after it's long trek from far out in the Atlantic ocean.
