Artist's Description
The original Myrtle Beach Boardwalk began at the 2nd Street Pier (in the distance) and ended at the 14th Street Pier, where this photograph was captured by Bill Swartwout Photography. Today the Boardwalk begins at 1st Street and continues north to 15th Street in Downtown Myrtle Beach.
Vacationers and beach-goers flock to Myrtle Beach all year to enjoy the wonderful beach along the Atlantic Ocean. With the addition of the Boardwalk, everyone can enjoy the ocean without having to get wet or sandy.
