Description
This Leopard Lacewing butterfly seems to be relishing the attention of being in the spotlight of a solitary sunbeam. Cethosia cyane, the common name Leopard Lacewing is sometimes confused with the Tiger Leafwing. These are among the more common butterflies found in the tropics.
These beautiful creatures, insects, are found in tropical areas from the Caribbean Sea to the Amazon River Basin. While they may be common, they are just beautiful creatures and this ray of sunlight enhances the beauty of this fine specimen.
