Description
Just north of Bethany Beach, Delaweare, the SuperMoon of September 27, 2015, while partially eclipsed, appears as a candle flame on top of the southeast stanchion of the Indian River Inlet Bridge. This view of the Charles W. Cullen Bridge, known locally as the Indian River Bridge, becomes a strange scene, indeed, with part of the bridge looking like a candlestick.
This SuperMoon occurred in conjunction with a total lunar eclipse, creating a "Blood Moon" over the area. The cloud deck, however did not cooperate, with that part of the event. This view, from the northern shore of the Delaware Seashore State Park where the Indian River meets the Atlantic Ocean, is something that rarely happens.
