Artist's Description
Here is a "golden" version of the shark that has been seen by everyone who has visited the boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland. This particular shark has attacked, not swimmers in the Atlantic Ocean off the Ocean City beach, but the Ripley's Believe It Or Not building where it wriggles back and forth above boardwalk visitors every day (and night) of the year. It appears to be trying to get free of the corner of the building through which it apparently crashed during a very, very, very high tide.
This shark is likely photographed thousands of times every week in the summer time by beach-goers walking the boards. If you were to purchase a framed print of this image - where would you display it? Don't you think it would look great in a family room or a game room as a constant reminder of good times at the beach?
About Bill Swartwout
"For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move." Robert Louis Stevenson... My photography reflects such wanderlust. I record images of places to which I wander and distractions along the way. I love to share my joy of living at the beach and our travels afar, bringing you photographic art that reflects what I see. I have had my work published for more than half a century, starting as a junior reporter for a local newspaper in 1964. I have been involved with industrial photography, wedding photography and real estate photography but my love has always been landscape and seascape photography. Today I concentrate strictly on photography as art. Purchase one of my pieces to...
