Description
My way of remembering and giving thanks on Veterans Day was to edit and share some patriotic photographs. This black and white scene from the Fort McHenry National Monument & Historic Shrine shows the inside-the-ramparts parade ground with barracks to the left and right and the entrance gate at center. The flag flying on this brisk and breezy day is the Storm Flag and has 15 stars, representing the number of states in the United States at the time of the Battle of Baltimore in 1814, ending the War of 1812 against the British.
