Description
Flamingo Reflections is a digital pairing of one bird with itself. The flamingo in this image resides at the Salisbury Zoological Park in Salisbury, MD. These beautiful birds are actually born gray, their coloration, which varies quite a bit from bright pink to the orange hue you see here, is determined by their diet. They also eat "upside down" - can you tell why? Hint: look at the shape of their beak...which is why I created this "upside down" reflection abstract from my original photograph.
