Description
Presented here is a composite view of the Fenwick Island Lighthouse "on the beach" just north of the state line between Maryland and Delaware. The wires and phone pole have been removed and a new sky added. Visitors to both Fenwick Island and Ocean City both claim the Light as their own. (However, it is actually just north of the state line and is, therefore, in Delaware.)
The Fenwick Island Lighthouse has been aiding navigation for mariners since 1858. Today, the historic structure is a popular tourist destination, especially for photography enthusiasts. The "Fenwick Light" is an historic landmark located in Fenwick Island, Delaware right at the border with Ocean City, Maryland. Built in 1856, it is the oldest standing structure in Fenwick Island. The lighthouse is currently owned by the state of Delaware and is open to the public for tours.

Nicely done, Bill. Saw you were working on this. Congratulations on your Feature in 'A Straight Horizon' group :))

Thank you, Dianne. It surely looks different without the wires, the telephone pole and the paved street with median and sidewalks.
