Description
From the Burpee Seeds website, this very special herb, dill, is described as: "Handsome, feathery, blue-green foliage is a favorite flavoring in many dishes and dressings. Dill seeds can be used for pickling, and the blooms make nice cut flowers."
Got that? The blooms make nice cut flowers. I appreciate the photographic possibilities, as in this dill seed display, looking down from directly above the plant.
Many people, with home gardens, don't like it when their herbs go to seed but with dill plants, nothing could be better. The dill seed heads are what makes the herb what it is. For the photographer, it certainly makes for an interesting subject. This particular dill plant is in a small home garden near the town of Fenwick Island in coastal Delaware, about two miles from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
These dill seed heads have created a wonderful photograph for decor art photography. Would you like to display this amazing photograph in your kitchen or on dining room wall? Go ahead and order a framed print or an artist canvas of this image. If, for some reason it does not look fabulous in your kitchen or dining room you have 30 days in which to return it.

I am blown away with this photo. How did you ever get the boca done so well. If you have time, I would love to know what processing program(s) you use. I'm a fairly new photographer (since 2015) and love to learn more about how these types of photos are created. Absolutely beautiful.

Bill, this excellent composition has the dynamism of a fireworks display, or perhaps a microscope photo of atomic structure. Further proof that the universe unites the micro and macro in everything!
Bill Swartwout replied:
Thank you, Joel. Being a teacher (geography and biology) in a former life, I have come to see things in nature that many people pass on by.
