Description
A classic and "classy" Cessna C-195 Businessliner, powered by a 300 H.P radial engine, was photographed at Delaware Coastal Airport (GED) in Georgetown, Delaware on a rainy afternoon. This beautiful aircraft is rendered as a neon line drawing to emphasize the grace and fluidity of the overall design.
The Businessliner was one of a series of single radial engine airplane built by Cessna Aircraft in the mid- 20th Century (1947-1954). It was the first of Cessna's aircraft to be built entirely of aluminum. It was larger than most light aircraft of the day yet smaller and easier to maintain than a twin engine plane. It could carry five people for business or pleasure up to 800 miles on flight. It is a beautiful plane to look at and fairly comfortable in which to fly - either as a passenger or the pilot.
