Description
Nancy's Hardy Hibiscus is an example of the northern variety of this popular flowering shrub or tree. The Tropical Hibiscus is found in the warmer - tropical and sub-tropical - areas of the United States.
This is an example of a white Hibiscus flower, Hibiscus moscheutos, and measures about four inches in diameter. Larger plants may grow blooms up to six inches in diameter. These beautiful plants reward the gardener with flowers for a long period of the summer and may also attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
This particular Hibiscus shrub grows in the Fenwick Island area of coastal Delaware on the Delmarva Peninsula. But it can do just as well in any of the temperate climate states of the mid-Atlantic. If you love all thing growing and blooming you might like to order a print or a canvas of this photograph to hang in your home. In which room would you like to display it?
