Fire Control Tower #1 in Silhouette against the afternoon sun emphasizes the viewing "slit" at one of the two observation levels. Just south of Bethany Beach, this tower was built along the coast to watch for the enemy and, when necessary, direct the firing of huge guns at Fort Miles (now Cape Henlopen State Park).

I record images of places to which I wander and distractions along the way. I love to share my joy of living at the beach and our travels afar, bringing you photographic art that reflects what I see. I have had my work published for more than half a century, starting as a junior reporter for a local newspaper in 1964. I have been involved with industrial photography, wedding photography and real estate photography but my love has always been landscape and seascape photography.
