Description
What appears to be an explosion in the ocean is actually huge wave breaking offshore and crashing in upon itself. A huge nor'easter storm off of coastal Delaware and Ocean City, Maryland brought near record-breaking Atlantic Ocean waves to the popular beaches of the area. Sunlight breaking through the storm clouds brings a dramatic backlighting to this seascape.
This "Explosion in the Ocean" was captured off the beach at Ocean City near Condo Row - but could have been just about anywhere along the mid-Atlantic coast. The first rays of sunshine breaking through the dark storm clouds created an unusual backlighting effect that produced this unique seascape scene.
If you love the beach and love the power of the wind and waves you should display a print of this photograph in your home so you can feel that power all year long. Where will you choose to display it?
